How many times per day do you get a marketing email from someone that tries to sell you something you don’t want or need. I get them every day. Several times a day. They never get opened, they never even get considered. I just trash them. Why….because it’s not what I am wanting at that moment. I have a need for things in the niche that I work with. And that niche is Joint Ventures.

Joint Venture information gets my attention because I need it and want it. I look for blogs and forum information that has to do with joint ventures. I read about it and I purchase products that will benefit my niche.

This is why you need to have your list geared to your niche. What I am saying is that you need to sell products and services to those who are interested in the niche you blog about, or sell to. If you do this, you will have a higher conversion rate because the people that are on your list for that particular niche are going to be hungry buyers.

Does this mean that you can’t sell other products or services to your list? No, but you should only sell those products and services that cater to that particular niche so you can maximize your conversion. You can’t sell candy to someone who is in the need for electronic parts.

How do you get around this….Simple….you have more than one list. Set up several squeeze pages on different niche topics. You will have to either host each niche separately or you can use the sub-domain technique (which is quite a lot cheaper). You then drive traffic to each of your niche squeeze pages. Make sure that when you are setting up your autoresponder, that you label each autoresponder separately….ie…Marketing, List Building, Weight Loss, Aquatic gear and so on. This way when you want to broadcast a sales letter to you list, you will know which one you need to email to and don’t waste your time with the other one. No one who is looking for Aquatic gear will want information about Marketing and visa versa.

Employing the different these techniques to each individual niche will guarantee are good return on your money because the conversion rate will be higher do to the interest for your product in that list.
